Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Veteran Referrals

• What it is: Federal homeless prevention and rapid re-housing funds given to local nonprofits and housing agencies.
• Why it’s easy:
  
• No VA contracting.
• You work directly with the ESG grantee; they pay your rent or bed-night fee for the veteran.
• Who applies: Veteran is referred by local Coordinated Entry/Continuum of Care (CoC).
• Pays: Market rent or set nightly rates.
• Good for: Transitional living programs.
